Monsoon!

Finally, there is a bit more rain in Langkawi.  The hot dry spell had lasted a wee bit too long for comfort, so the rain is certainly a good welcome for all the plants and for most creatures too. 

With the Southwest monsoon in place, the seas are rather choppy now.

 

 

This fishing boat still has to make its way out there for a catch... 

I stood there by the shore and looked at how precariously its bow was sticking up into the air each time it rode over the surf and swell, then plunges down and readies itself for the next ride.

And this is just the beginning...
